DUX N BASS grew up in Germany, surrounded by music from day one. He started drumming when he was five and spent most of his childhood playing in bands, orchestras, and even marching groups. DUX N BASS first got into producing through hip-hop, but it wasn’t long before drum and bass completely pulled him in. The local scene around Mannheim and Heidelberg was buzzing, and going to nights like Low Down Deep, Hospitality, Blackout, and Liquicity opened his eyes to how broad and powerful the genre could be.

As DUX N BASS, he makes music that means something—not just to him, but to anyone listening. His aim is to have people to feel it, whether it’s a soulful liquid tune, a ravey jump-up banger, or something that just hits hard on the dancefloor. That’s always been the goal. Over the years, he’s worked with artists such as Emily Makis, Macky Gee, and Friction, and he’s still just getting started.
