Modestep is the brainchild of London-based musician Josh Friend, now leading the project solo with his brand new live band. Known for fusing rock and dubstep, Modestep rose to fame with the 2011 hit “Sunlight” and have since played iconic stages like Glastonbury, Coachella, and Woodstock Poland attracting a record-setting crowd of 750,000. With a new album arriving in September 2025, Friend describes the sound as “darker and melodic,” a nod to the project’s roots with deep, wobbly basslines and strong vocal melodies. Modestep continues to evolve while staying true to the energy that first defined them.
