The G-Dub legend Original Sin made his name as one of the foremost proponents of contemporary jump-up, but that’s just a small part of the story. With multiple awards to his name – won for both deejaying and production – and releases across a Who’s Who of prestigious labels, the last decade has seen him smash through sub-genre boundaries and build an international fanbase in the process. 

Putting out huge anthems on the biggest labels around might be enough for some producers, but Original Sin has got much more in his locker than that. We’ve seen the launch of his own Energize Muzik imprint, which represents that “original, Original Sin sound”. ‘Never Say Die’, a slice of heavyweight return-to-the-foundations jump-up, set the template out perfectly and highly-regarded dubs ‘Tic Tac Toe’ and ‘Back to the Future’ delivered the knockout follow-up combination. And, recently, he’s diversified even further with his Proper Image label, which has already established itself with tracks like the Traumatik-featuring ‘Warzone’ and the monumental ‘Classic Collection’ compilation.
